We're off to Seattle to Portland this evening for 204 miles of cycling back to Portland. Caitlin and Liz were kind enough to offer to drive my car back from Seattle, and they'll get a mini-vacation out of the deal. Ken and I will be riding up with them tonight and meeting Bill, who is already up there for an airplane thing (what kind of airplane thing exactly, I can't remember). We'll be staying with Grandma Margaret and up at the crack of dawn to head to the UW (I will be wearing my Ducks jersey, of course) campus for the start. Tomorrow night we'll camp in Centralia with thousands of other cyclists, and then finish the second half of the journey on Sunday, ending at Lloyd Center. The weather should cool down a bit, and we're grateful for that.
