Mother: Don't Read This

I rode for the first time on the back of a motorcycle yesterday. Well, technically I'd ridden on one once before, but that was a half-mile trip to the grocery store in Maui on the back of my landlord's Harley. I'm choosing to not count that.
Anyway, after trying on some of Bill's helmets (I found one that fit my giant head!), and after asking a lot of questions such as "How will we not fall over when we go around turns?" and "If we aren't going to crash, why do I have to wear gear that keeps my skin from rubbing off on the road?", I got on the back of his 1972 BMW.
The ride out to Salvador Molly's on Capitol Hwy was a bit nerve-wracking, but I kept a death grip on Bill's waist. But after dinner (and two mojitos), I managed to actually enjoy the ride home. Bill is a safe driver (at least with me on the back), and it's safe to say it won't take nearly as much convincing next time to get me to ride with him.
Mother, if you read this despite my warning, please email Bill with your concerns ... :-)
